How to Join Pak Army ?

The Pakistan Army offers multiple entry options depending on your education and career goals:


For Men

Regular Commission (as Officers)

Entry after Intermediate or equivalent (through PMA Long Course).
Entry after Graduation (through Graduate Course or PMA Short Course).

Special Purpose Commission

Short Service Commission (SSC) for professionals such as engineers, IT specialists, and medical doctors.

Soldiers and Junior Commissioned Officers

Entry with matriculation or intermediate qualifications.

For Women

Women can join through Short Service Commission (SSC) in:

Medical (Doctors, Nurses).
Education (Army Education Corps).
Engineering (Corps of Engineers, Signals, EME).
Legal (Judge Advocate General).

General Requirements

Nationality: Pakistani citizens, including those from AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Gender: Male or Female (depending on the branch).
Marital Status: Single or Married (varies by position).
Physical Standards:
Height: Minimum 5’ 4” (162.5 cm) for males and 5’ (152.4 cm) for females.
Physically fit as per Army standards.

Educational Requirements

Intermediate (F.Sc. or equivalent): For PMA Long Course.
Graduation (BA, BSc, BBA, etc.): For Short and Graduate Courses.
Professional Degrees: For SSC (engineering, medicine, IT, or legal fields).

What is the Application Process? and how to Apply Online in Pak Army?

Step 1: Online Registration

Visit the official Pakistan Army website: www.joinpakarmy.gov.pk.
Create an account and fill out the application form.
Print the registration slip after completing the form.

Step 2: Preliminary Test

At your nearest Army Selection and Recruitment Center (ASRC):

1:Written Test:
Based on academic background and intelligence.
2:Physical Fitness Test:
1.6 km run (8 minutes for males, 14 minutes for females).
Push-ups, sit-ups, and other physical evaluations.
3:Initial Medical Examination:
General health checkup.

Step 3: ISSB (Inter Services Selection Board)

Successful candidates from ASRC are called for ISSB tests.
Includes:
Psychological tests.
Physical and endurance tests.
Interviews.

Step 4: Final Medical Examination

Conducted at Army hospitals to ensure fitness standards.

Step 5: Training

If selected, training starts at the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) or relevant training centers.


Service Commitment in Initial Engagement

PMA Long Course: Minimum 10–15 years of service.
Short Service Commission (SSC): Minimum 3–5 years, with the option for extension.
