Eligibility Conditions for ‘M’ Cadet Program

To join the Pakistan Army Medical Corps as an M Cadet, follow the detailed steps below:
1. Eligibility Criteria for M Cadet Program
Gender: Only Male candidates are eligible to apply for the M Cadet program.
Marital Status: Applicants must be unmarried at the time of application and during the training period.
Nationality: Only Pakistani citizens are eligible for the program, including candidates holding domiciles of Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Note: After final selection, candidates will be required to surrender dual nationality if applicable.

Educational Qualifications: Applicants must be in the 4th or final year of their MBBS degree from a medical college recognized by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).
Age Limit: Applicants must be between the age of 17 to 21 years at the time of application.
Physical Requirements: Height: The minimum height required is 5 feet 4 inches (162.5 cm).
Weight: The weight must be according to the Body Mass Index (BMI) standards, which is assessed based on the applicant’s height and weight.
Physical Fitness: Candidates must meet the physical fitness standards set by the Pakistan Army, which includes tests for endurance and stamina.

3. Selection Procedure / Army Medical Corps joining process

The training duration and specific curriculum will be provided by the Pakistan Army once you join.
Pakistan Army M Cadet training duration is more than one and half years.
Those candidates who clear all the tests and get final call letter, then they report to the further Army Medical College for basic professional training where proper health care facilities are provided.
Then these trainees are being sent to the Pakistan Military Academy, Abbottabad for 22 weeks.

Two (02) Attested Copies of Educational Certificates:

Two (02) Attested Photocopies of CNIC or Form B:

The CNIC should be issued by NADRA for Pakistani nationals, or the Form B for those under the age of 18.

Pay Order of Rs. 500/-:

The pay order must be clearly marked “Payable at any Branch in Pakistan” in favor of Surgeon General / DGMS (IS), Medical Directorate/DMS-1, GHQ, Rawalpindi.

Ineligibility Conditions for Army medical Jobs 2025

A candidate will be considered ineligible for Army Medical Corps M Cadet jobs if they meet any of the following conditions:

Permanently Declared Unfit: The candidate is permanently declared unfit by the Appeal Medical Board.
Medically Unfit Due to Hepatitis B & C: Candidates diagnosed with Hepatitis B or C are disqualified, and an appeal for medical fitness will not be accepted.
Declared Unfit by Armed Forces Hospitals: Any candidate found unfit by an Armed Forces hospital, except those cleared by the Appeal Medical Board, will not be eligible.
Withdrawn from Armed Forces Academies/Training Institutions: Candidates who have been withdrawn from any Armed Forces academy or training institution on any grounds will be considered ineligible.
Disciplinary Issues: Candidates who have been removed or withdrawn from Armed Forces colleges/institutions due to disciplinary reasons are not eligible for the M Cadet program.
Dismissal from Government Services: Any individual dismissed, removed, or debarred from government services, including the Armed Forces, will not be eligible for recruitment.
Criminal Conviction: Candidates convicted in a court of law for any offense involving moral turpitude are disqualified.
Twice Screened Out by ISSB: Candidates who have been twice screened out by ISSB will not be eligible for further consideration.
Twice Rejected for M Cadet: Candidates who have been rejected twice for the M Cadet program by the GHQ, AHQ, or NHQ Selection Boards are not eligible to reapply.
Fraudulent Behavior: Any candidate found tampering with academic certificates, concealing information, or providing false details to gain an unfair advantage will have their candidature canceled and be permanently declared ineligible for all types of commissions in the Pakistan Army.

The candidate has to pass the following physical tests for Army Medical Corps. Normally, office of the army deals such activities.

Running: 1.6 Km in 8-1/2 Minutes

Push Ups: 15 Repetitions in 02 Minutes

Sits Ups: 15 Repetitions in 02 Minutes

Ditch Crossing: Size 7’- 4” x 7’- 4” with Depth of 4 Feet

What is checked in initial Medicl Examination at Selection Center?

Initial medical is being examined at army medical center where students appear for tests. Those candidates who clear the initial Intelligence & Academic tests, they will appear in initial medical examination. This examination will be normally held at the concerned Army Selection Centre.

Final Interview for Army Medical Jobs as M Cadet 2025

Final Interview is being taken when a candidate pass all the tests mentioned above in front of the Selection Board. This selection board consists of Psychologist, Medical Specialists, 02 external senior experienced officers and one Deputy President. In this interview, a security notice is already being sent to the medical service corps for information. A candidate has to prepare questions of different nature including subject tests. After passing final interview, a candidate is directed to the nearest Combined Military Board Examination where he has to give all necessary medical tests including Hepatitis A, B & C. In this regard a subordinate commands is also being informed.

COVID 19 test is also taken.
Additional Information
Bond: Finally selected candidates will be required to sign a bond to serve the Army for a minimum period of 7 years. The applicability of bond will commence on successful completion of basic Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul.
